First year students in Academy of Health will learn about medical careers along with diseases, and body systems. They will also be doing big projects that involve the students to interact with UC representatives.

Academy of Health Teacher Profiles

Laura Ann Wilson was born in Houston, Texas. She majored in development biology and got her degree at Santa Cruz. She also received her teacher credential at the UC of “Ant Eaters”. Her hobbies include the piano, reading, and jogging.

John M Schlauraff was born in Boston and went to college at Rivier in Nashua, New Hampshire. It was there that he received his bachelor’s degree in science, majoring in Biology along with a minor in Spanish. He has also received his Master of Education degree in Cross Cultural Teaching. He teaches Biology as well as health science at Phillip and Sala Burton Academic High school.
